Earlier this week we wrapped up the National Youth Workers Convention in Nashville, and the YS team headed home for Thanksgiving. It seems like a perfect time to reflect a little and give thanks for what we’ve seen God doing in the lives of youth workers.
Last weekend we had the privilege of worshipping, learning, and connecting with more than 3,000 youth workers. And while everyone comes to NYWC with a different story, it’s in conversations together that we are reminded of the reality that we’re all part of the same big story. We all want to help teenagers find and follow Jesus.
I personally get to hear so many stories during NYWC, and these remind me of the importance of coming together, re-aligning our vision, and reconnecting with God and his plan for our lives and our ministries. It’s exciting to imagine how God will continue to move youth ministry onward, and I look forward to hearing the continuation of your stories at future YS events.
As we all come together with our friends and families over this Thanksgiving weekend, it’s my prayer that you will find time for rest, good food, and special moments with those closest to you. All of us at Youth Specialties are thankful for the opportunity to serve you, and for the ways you serve teenagers.
Now I’m off to cook a Turkey… get ready for the annoying tweets of my bird that I will feel compelled to post even though nobody wants to see them.
Blessings!
