As important as it is to have a vision of our future doings, I believe it is far more important to have a vision of our future beings. What you do is only as meaningful as who you are because no matter what you do… you’re still you.

One of my greatest fears is that I will wake up tomorrow as someone different than who I intended to be.
In five years, I want to be more passionate about the Gospel, I want a deeper understanding of God’s Word, I want to be a wiser man, a more loving husband, a more involved father, a more committed friend, and a more selfless human.
Every single day we make hundreds and thousands of decisions, from what time we get up to what time we go to sleep, from what we eat to what we drink, from what we prioritize to what we neglect, from how we respond to people to how we respond to news, from what we think about to what we say. These decisions, some greater than others, make up the person we will be tomorrow. If enough tomorrows pass without us giving careful attention to who we are becoming then we will wake up in a present reality far different than our past hopes.
Take a look back.
Take a look around.
Take a look within.
Take a look into the future.
Become someone on purpose.
